This is not a quoll but it is Australian. It is a (wild) 28 parrot, a subspecies of Australian ringneck. The 28 is found in the southwest of Australia and is distinguished from other Australian ringnecks by the red patch above its beak. They have been welcome visitors for many thousands of years in this part of the world.

Boobooks have a distinctive falling two-toned call. Like all hawk-owls, they often look annoyed or hung over.
