These are not quolls. These are little penguins helpfully looking for a dropped contact lens.

This is not a quoll. It is a little penguin having a swim because it’s bloody hot here. We’re in the middle of a heatwave, which means 5 days in a row with max temperatures over 35C or three days in a row with max temps over 40C. At the time of writing it’s predicted we’re going to be doing 4 days in a row over 40C with a 38C day afterwards.

So think only cool thoughts for us here in Perth.

These are not quolls. These are little penguins.

Penguins aren’t renowned for their intelligence so much as their smell. However, one of the penguins appears to have been playing hide and seek with the other penguin. He was in the water going [penguin noise] while the other penguin was wandering around out of the water going [penguin noise] back at him, apparently looking for him. When the penguin up top got close, the penguin in the water suddenly went quiet and swam out of sight. Cheeky thing.

This is not a quoll, but it is warm-blooded. This is a fairy penguin or little penguin. It is the smallest of all the penguins and it is local to my part of the world.
