The Multiview branch of Blender has been included in the master branch and has been included in the latest automatic build. This means the world now has software to do stereoscopic movies and images, free of charge and with source code available.

Since Blender can now do both kinds of 3D, here’s a set of two 3D renders from Shot 47. If you haven’t got red/cyan glasses handy, you should be able to cross-eye the bottom two images to see Pointy and Gronky in 3D.

Big congrats to Dalai Felinto (the gent behind the Multiview branch)!
