This is not a quoll. It is a green pygmy goose, one of many animals found in both Papua New Guinea and Northern Australia. This makes some sense because at one point the landmasses were linked. Now they’re not, but they’re still part of the same supercontinent.

There are also quolls in Papua New Guinea, so hurrah for that.
