This is not a quoll, but it is a marsupial. This is a western grey kangaroo. What on earth is going on with its teeth? I have no idea.

The Noongar word for their local species of kangaroo is yongka. While i was driving down to Peel Zoo where this photo was taken, i saw a dead yongka on the side of the road. It was huge, bloated and stiff. On that same trip i also saw the following roadkill: a dead raven, a couple of dead foxes, another dead kangaroo. I didn’t see any live wild kangaroos even though i was driving back at dusk. Just the emu on the way there and back.
