This is not a quoll. These are tiger snakes, a highly venomous elapid snake.

Their venom is the fourth most potent in the world; their combined venom toxicity and yield per bite makes them the fourth most dangerous snake in the world after the inland taipan, coastal taipan and common cobra; they don’t back off when provoked (unlike dugites), and best of all they’re local to my area.

I’ve never seen one in the wild but once my brother-in-law got chased by one while he was walking the Bibbulmun Track.
