This is not a quoll but it is close enough. It is a Tasmanian meerkat. Er, devil. Tasmanian devils are closely related to quolls but are far stockier with a larger head.

Along with other Australian zoos and wildlife parks, Peel Zoo is helping to breed an insurance population of Tasmanian devils due to devil facial tumour disease threatening to make devils extinct in the wild. While it’s lovely to have the devils over here and great to see so many in one spot, the overall circumstances for the Tasmanian devil are a bit unfortunate.
