This is a northern quoll, the professed favourite quoll of Sir David Attenborough. If not for the Queensland sugar industry’s haphazard approach to biological controls in the 1930s, this species could have had a much better chance than it currently does.

The whole cane toad situation makes me think the Australian sugar industry should be much more visibly committed to toad-related conservation efforts than they currently are.

This is a northern quoll, the Quoll With No Name. You can tell it’s a northern quoll because it’s got a flat head with wide-set eyes and it’s a bit on the small side.
