SculptJanuary 11 – “Gargoyle”.

Did you know that a gargoyle actually refers to an architectural structure designed to stop water flowing down the sides of a building and not just a grotesque ornamentation? I didn’t. On finding this out, I decided to try to sculpt a quoll head as an actual gargoyle in a vaguely art-deco style.

Designing and controlling the art deco silhouettes proved to be super tricky, especially around the ears. File this one under “off-beat experiments” then.
